Rick Edmonds says the new State of the News Media report, from the Project for Excellence in Journalism, is 700 pages long.

No doubt it was written by editors who spent their entire newsroom career yelling at reporters: "Tighten your copy!"
I have read the report and it is broken down into chapters, which are further segmented into easily accessible sections. Well written, and useful too.
